Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

This year has been an amazing time for me at Microsoft in Education.  The conversation for educational transformation has begun building the urgency it needs for leaders and communities of stakeholders to take informed action. I am thrilled to see the progress the nation is making. I will add that we still have more to do and to do it wisely. Or as Anthony Salcito, so eloquently stated, “we need to do a different kind of more.”

Merry Christmas, Hipsters!

I will not use this article to recap the year.  There are so many TV shows, blogs, and magazines that are reflecting on the exciting and often tumultuous 2011. I recommend you relive 2011 through them.

For Higher Innovation, I simply want to extend you every blessing and peace for this holiday season. Enjoy quality time with friends, family, and loved ones. I only ask that you be present. Put down the technology (unless you are playing Kinect on XBOX 360 with kids or using Skype to connect with distant loved ones) and try an old-fashioned, face-to-face conversation.  We have yet to invent anything that can replace simply being there for one another.

We are working on it!

Merry Christmas and find peace where you make it.
