Let me state from the start that I am very biased.
I am a musician and an artist.
I am a student.
I am a parent of a student and serve in my daughter’s school.
I am a veteran.
I am also a veteran gamer.
I am a second generation educator.
I am the national technology officer for Microsoft Education and a shareholder in Microsoft.
Occassionally, I write code and start new ventures.
I am a life-long learner.
All of these roles color my perspective and influence my position on the national conversation regarding the state of US Education. So do not expect me to be objective. Frankly, I do not see how I could be. Moreover, you did not come to Higher Innovation for my objectivity. You are here for my subjectivity.
With all that said, I hope you participate in and enjoy this necessary conversation on the reboot of U.S. Education.
Challenge me.
Remix me.
Inspire me.
Whatever you do, do not sit on the sidelines. Education is the institution that impacts generations.
It is in our power to make learning EPIC!
