It always happens this way. I'm trolling the corporate network looking for something for our customers and I stumble upon something cool and virtually unknown. That's one of the reasons we created this blog. Microsoft is so immense that is difficult to know everything that is going on across the company. In many ways, this blog offloads grey matter to the web so that I don't have to remember. Well, I'm a bit off topic.
HP has one. Cisco has one. Google has one. Adobe does it. What all of these companies have in common are corporate video feeds to give you the inside scoop that you can't get from anywhere else.
Introducing, Microsoft Videos. Now, Microsoft is providing a beta preview of a mix of corporate videos, tutorials, and product demos all delivered through the Silverlight Rich Internet Applications platform.
There are channels for home users, developers, IT Pros, and business users. There's a lot of content aggregated from other Microsoft communities like Channel 9, etc. Channel 8 published a video from Diana Curtis on Microsoft Math. Microsoft Math is a rich software application that makes my financial calculator look like an abacus. Every student could learn Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Calculus easier with Microsoft Math.
There are a number of product channels that have great content as well. Since Microsoft Videos uses Silverlight, the videos start immediately and you can view them full size to see more on your monitor. Over time, you will be able to find all of the Microsoft produced content in one location. Yes!
The only thing I hope they do before the site is Live is add an RSS feed so that I can view the content in Zune, Zune Marketplaces and iTunes. Enjoy!
